“The Guardian Angel” is what a stray medium sized pit bull is being called. This “tough” looking pit bull stray has become a hero in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Either lost or abandoned, this pitty prevented an attack, saving a a woman and her child from a knife-wielding man. The woman, Angela, was with her child leaving the playground when the man approached with knife in hand instructing her to not to make any noise or move at all.

That’s when the stray pit bull appeared out of nowhere running at the man and sending him off. Animal Control Lt. Brian Jones told Pet Pulse, “I don’t think the dog physically attacked the man, but he went at him and was showing signs of aggression, just baring his teeth and growling and barking. It was clear he was trying to defend this woman.”

The dog, now named “Angel” is residing at the local animal shelter and if not claimed by an owner, will be adopted by Angela.

“You hear about family dogs protecting their owners, but this dog had nothing to do with this woman or her kid,” Jones said. “He was like her guardian angel.” Thanks to a sweet soul, this pit bull, two lives were saved! Moreover, this special stray gave a story for all to share; the true nature of a pit bull dog.

Hey all! I’m Matthias and I love Pit Bulls (as you probably can guess lol). Until a couple years ago I had Blaze next to me while writing the articles for this blog and he was my inspiration, he still is but - hopefully - from a better life 🙂

I am not a veterinarian or veterinary health care specialist, so nothing in this blog should be taken or used as a substitute for professional help. Use our content as information to have a basic understanding about Pit Bulls but always look for expert advice, specifically when treating or diagnosing your Pittie.

Hope my articles are of any help to you, your family and especially your Pit Bull. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!

Thats how I feel about mine. Theres a reason her name is “The Garden Of EDEN” meaning paradise. Everyone knows that it was God that designed and created The Garden of Eden. Fittingly God even named this place. Eden is a gift from God sent to take care of me.

  4. yes it does say knife
yes it does say knife wielding now… by the powers of the magical internet editing it has been changed- dude.

    • I do thank you for pointing
I do thank you for pointing out whatever you saw. But I do promise, and give my word, I went to edit as that would be an immensely embarrassing mistake and it said the correct “wielding”. So all is okay I suppose…?

Agree Kinley! Story is cute/enjoyable and I quite enjoy sharing a positive pitty story anytime. 🙂

  5. not to be too picky, but I
not to be too picky, but I believe you meant “knife-wielding” not “knife-yielding”… any one who would yield their knife would not pose as much of a threat at all… I’m just saying.

    • Thank you. However, I could
Thank you. However, I could not find where “knife-yielding” is written.I went to edit the typo and it is all correct as I read it. You are correct though; a “knife-yielder” would be hardly be a threat 🙂
