A pit bull protects his owners’ home from a burglar.  The burgler dies, but from his own stupidity.

A pit bull owner pleads his case about how wonderful pit bulls are.

The anti-dog fighting model in Chicago is on it’s way to
Philadelphia
.  This article talks about people who used to fight dogs
and how they changed and how the dogs have changed.  Videos included.

Pinups for Pit Bulls is a non-profit organization trying to
raise awareness of how wonderful Pit Bulls are.  The creative way
they’re doing it is what makes this organization unique.

Leo, the pit bull, is given a second chance when his handicapped
owner moves from a non pit bull friendly city to Calgary where the dog
is free to be helpful and loved like any pit bull should be.  Yes, you could call these two companions fugitives.  And how messed up is that?

Hey all! I’m Matthias and I love Pit Bulls (as you probably can guess lol). Until a couple years ago I had Blaze next to me while writing the articles for this blog and he was my inspiration, he still is but - hopefully - from a better life 🙂

I am not a veterinarian or veterinary health care specialist, so nothing in this blog should be taken or used as a substitute for professional help. Use our content as information to have a basic understanding about Pit Bulls but always look for expert advice, specifically when treating or diagnosing your Pittie.

Hope my articles are of any help to you, your family and especially your Pit Bull. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!

  1. If she is a pup she may not
If she is a pup she may not be able 2 hold it all nite. Id divide the crate its most likly to large for the pup. And no not all pit are man eaters just the poorly bred and abused pits are the mean ones. Pit are very child friendly and usually pet friendly

  2. Like with any other breed you
Like with any other breed you have to socialzation and walk them daily.Just treat like a part of your family.

Id try dividing her cratel if shes going in the crate it may b bigger than wat she needs.

  5. oh you should also know that
oh you should also know that the pit bull requires quite a bit more patience, time, training, and work than other dog breeds. BUT, they also give you alot more love and its totally worth it.

    • thanks for commenting i have
thanks for commenting i have another problem she is useing it in her cage at night last feeding is 6 and i take her out about two times after that with in hour a piece and she still goes in the cage what can i do

  6. i have a 3 year old son, and
i have a 3 year old son, and a pit bull and they are best buds. Pit bulls are very good with children (used to be called nanny dogs), especially small children who tend to play rough as pit bulls have a high pain tolerance. I highly doubt your dog will “bite someones face off” thats just something said by ignorant people who have no idea what they are talking about or any actual knowledge of the breed itself. Pit bulls love people and i dont think you have anything to worry about. Socialization and excercise are key. Thankyou for giving that dog a chance despite what you’ve heard. They are great dogs. No other breed can compare to them. Once you go pit you dont go back lol. also please spay or neuter the dog, it helps prevent any aggression in the “teen years” and prevents escapes during “mating season” not to mention unwanted pups. i hope you have many great years with your new family member! 🙂 If your still feeling anxious, read up on them and their history, they are great with people.

  7. i have never own a pit bull i
i have never own a pit bull i here so many storys on them she is 7 weeks old and i hope i made the right choose because some of the storys i here scare me can any one give me some advice on these dogs i want to keep jazman but i was told she will bit someones face off i have children and i dont want that to happen she is so cute she loves to lick me and cuddle with me and play but when she gets bigger should i worry i never really thought about getting one but she was gave to me so please someone help lol

    • like with all dogs it’s about
like with all dogs it’s about you, not so much the dog, if it turns out to be a bad dog. pits have a bad rap that isn’t exactly true. yes there are some that are dangerous, but to say that all pits are bad or dangerous because of that is just stupid. pits are very affectionate towards people by nature. if you raise her right, treat her right, you won’t have anything to worry about and will have a great family pet

    • I want to first tell you that
I want to first tell you that my name is Shane and I am the proud owner of an American Pitbull Terrier!! I would like to respond to your cry for advice on your situation, I have owned several pitbulls and please let me be the first one to tell you that the Pitbull meaning in your case Jazmin is not a vicious dog, it really comes down to how you raise your dog!! It is the publics stupidity to think and raise so much hell about the pitbull, because it’s not the breeds fault that they are given the title of being the most feared dog in america!! The truth of the matter is that the pitbull is one of the most loyal and family orientated dogs that there are, it is the stupid idiot owners out there that don’t need a dog because they are irresponsible and nevertheless don’t know how to properly train nor raise the pit!! My china my pit ok was brindle and was of the bully breed, she was the best dog that a owner could have be it a woman or a man she loved kids actually would let them pull on her ears sit on her etc, she loved to give affection to Senior Citizens and etc she was an all and all great dog!! I would advise you to not give a shit about what others tell you because it’s just that SHIT it doesn’t matter it is just a matter of opinion and it is actually the wrong one it is all about how you raise her !!!
