Love the **** out of her! no seriously. they are very aware animals and they notice everything you do! just always smile when you see her and tell her what a good dog she is. and in this case when she does something wrong she will see you are unhappy, and she will want to fix that. APBT have more emotions than any other dog. treat her like she is your best friend and she will be happy to do any kind of trick or potty training you tell her.

..also and this is just what i did.. when i first got my puppy Doja i had her follow me everywhere. i established i was the boss and when i leave the room -she leaves the room. i had her sit with me when we watched tv or just sitting outside. 3 years later we have over 20 acres and she never leaves out of calling distance. she knows she belongs right next to me! and i love it! she is not aggressive in the least when people come near me its natural for her to be my other half.

just have fun with your pup! enjoy your time together! good luck :]

My dogs both chewed&scratched little/big spots until they were bald. i thought it was mange or an allergic reaction but it was neither. my guess to this day is they were bored.. So I decided to use a recipe my grandma used for her dog (who had chewed off tons and tons of skin). she gave the dog a fish oil pill everyday to promote healthy grow back of the hair and also keep all the hair moist and shiny. than to get the dog to stop chewing we rubbed yucca sap and its spots. yucca is a very bitter plant so they wont chew. but it also soothes the skin. Its a different variety of aloe vera. the hair grew back very fast and they didnt scratch as much because of the oil helping to soothe the skin. they havnt had a problem since. hop that helps :]

I have 2 APBT and while having 2 is great its also intimidating. before we got our second dog i set up some personal rules for myself so that the chances of them getting aggressive are slim. i only let 1 dog eat at a time. they have not fought over food yet but it only takes a second. i also make sure i dont leave them alone for long periods of time in the same place. just know what your dog likes or dosnt like and use that. Doja hates when other dogs lick her feet. so whenever i see mary jane too close i warn her. I go with my instincts and step in when i think its getting heated. but the more you relax the more they will relax so just take it easy and if they start to play a little rough break it up.

*Just like kids; if you haven’t heard from them in a few minutes you better go check…

they are gonna give you those huge cone things to put on and depending on your dog she may be ok without it. she just cant bite the stitches, licking is ok.
the only real problem i had was that my bed was high up. and its really important for them to lay down. I brought a blanket from home to lay down in the car to pick her up than brought it inside for her to lay on the floor and be more relaxed.
ALSO its gonna be hard but no food the nite before. Mary Jane found some kibbles somewhere and ended up throwing up during the surgery..
Usually everything goes smoothly just keep the environment calm and she should sleep off the meds soon and in a day or two when she wants to get up and play keep her busy with a bone :]
