I recently also adopted a pitt mix and he is 2 years old. He had never lived in a home before at first he just went anywhere he wanted including right in front of me. I just strongly told him no and moved his face towards where he went. I would take him out as often as possible and give him treats anytime he went outside. Now I have had him about 1 month and he is fully potty trained so I would recommend giving lots of praise/treats everytime she goes outside. Also block off as many areas of your home as possible and crate her when you leave until she learns not to go inside.
