aww they can be stubborn yes using treats works, dont talk to him just attach the leash and walk hes on a leash your in charge if he lags behind just keep going he will get the hint, no talking to him, just go out the door when he gets outside lots of praise and treat good luck
klisa723Participantpuppy mouthing is normal yes but it should not be acceptable, cause if you dont correct now you will have an adult dog putting his teeth on your hands and arms to get attention there are a few ways try this first, when he bites yell ouch!!!! and get up and walk away we all know our pibbles want our attention and when they see that biting makes us leave they seem to get the hint, if she follows you and starts biting your cloths and shoes go to a room and shut the door behind you for 5 min.. also you can try a water bottle set on stream and when she bites squirt her in the nose.. good luck
klisa723Participantwhat kind of tips are you looking for? are there issues? pibbles need love and guidance and rewards for good behavior. if you have a specific issue maybe i can help

I would use a leash and tie it to your belt loop on your pants and go about your chores and when things scare him ignore the behavior, and as he shows confidence reward it. maybe he dont like treats but string cheese has always been a great hit with my pibbles, i break a peice off in my mouth and reward. having him on a leash attached to you will gain his trust and also help him pay attention to you. good luck and let us know how he is progressing. also if hes on a leash he cant run and hide..

If he hears a noise and gets scared ignore this behavior and continue to do what you were doing. if hes running from you then I suggest a leash tied to your belt buckle of your pants and go about your chores with him in tow and ignoring his fearful behavior but def reward his confidence as he learns trust, This will also help him pay attention to you always, maybe he dont care for the treats.. string cheese is a good one i bite peices off in my mouth and give during training.. let me know if you see results… and good luck
