    Haha, i love it!
Alice is a pretty big tool aswell, everyone calls her man-pig-dinosaur because she acts like a little person, eats/looks like a little piggy and makes weird dinosaur noises when she sleeps.

My older dog taught her how to dig a hole in the snow and stick your head inside, only thing is i dont think she relizes my older dog is a husky/wolf/german shepherd x and shes just a pit.

I wouldnt suggest a raw food diet, only because it can be very risky if you dont know how to do it properly. I recently started making my own dog food from some really great reciepies i found on the internet, nothing is raw, its all cooked and she loves it soo much better then regular dog food. So unless your committed to doing alot of homework about the raw food your preparing for your pup, i would instead find better methods such as making your own dog food or buying some of the other dog food that they suggest on this site. Also, dont ever by already prepared raw food for dog, you have no idea how old it is and you just dont exactly know how they prepared it.

    Good luck!

I definatly interupted her humping right away, she hasnt done it since so im hoping it wont happen again.
She goes for 2 walks a day so i dont think its excess energy, usually as soon as we get home she just passes out because shes so tired! Like i said before, she has an appointment for the end of the month, the last thing i want is for her to have puppies, especially at such a young age!
When she tried humping we were playing with her on the floor, my dad was tugging on a sock that was in her mouth and then she jumped up, grabbed him arm while standing on two legs, so it might have just been a play thing. Either way i cant wait to get her fixed so i wont have to worry about it.

Some pits are built different then others.
I’ve always been able to see my pups ribs, her mom is the same way, both super well fed but its just there body type, like some people are really skinny and some cant help but be chubby, same with dogs. I wouldnt worry about it, just make sure hes eatting and getting enough exercise and you should be good.
I give my pup breakfast, snacks inbetween, then dinner.

    Me too!
There has been countless snow storms but my pit absolutely loves it, she’ll just run thru the snow for hours without a sweater or anything, and shes only 4 monthes old.

First off i would like to say this is why people shouldnt just get a dog because your other one passed away, especially from a shelter, if you want to get a dog from a shelter, you should go there, look at all the dogs and find one that fits your family, dont get a dog because you feel bad for it, because sometimes that can be the worst thing for it.

Even if the dog does have pitbull in it that has NOTHING to do with the way it is acting, obviously you need to teach her some manners, if she was about to be put down then you should have expected some quirks, not some perfect already trained dog to replace yours. I really do respect that you saved this dog but it seems like its gonna end up in the same place it started if you dont correct these things.

I would also suggest taking her to obedience classes and LOTS of exercise. If my dog hasnt been taken out for a 2 hour walk then she can definatly be a handful.

Shock collars are not the answer to your problem i can promise you that, its just going to make you and your dog alot more annoyed then neccisary. Plus shes just a puppy, all shes looking for is routines, rules and boundaries.

I would suggest contacting a professional asap and getting this sorted out, they would be able to help more then the internet would.

I wish you and your pup the best of luck.

Everyone always comments on how my dog looks so cold and i should get a jacket for her.
Its not like im against them at all, but for where i am, she has to get use to it. I actually do have a hoodie for her but everytime i put it on she just jumps right back out. If im going to the store and have to tie her outside, i take my jacket/hoodie/coat off and wrap her in it so shes not freezing, she likes that much better then something thats actually her size. Plus, if were on a walk or moving around, she definatly doesnt need anything, she warms herself up so much.

Pfffft, hahaha sorry i had to comment.

That makes me laugh, dogs are a domisticated animal, its not like were running in the forest collecting dogs and bringing them home to torture them. They have been living with humans for thousands of years, and happily doing it aswell.

Thank you for sharing that, it made me smile haha.

I made a sign today because i noticed that lately when i take her to school, everyone runs up to her yelling “Aliice!!!!” and i’ve desided to stop that right now.

    I made a sign saying ;

    No Touch
    No Talk
    No Eye Contact.

If you would like to see her, please ask.

DO NOT greet her by running up and yelling her name.

Dogs do not communicate by talking, its by body language and energy.

So far people have been respecting it so if all goes well then i shouldnt have this problem anymore!

Thanks again Kayla’s Mom, i love all the advice you give.

Thank you for all that info, really helpful!

The breeder actually does have proof of genetic testing and pedigree’s, they arnt serious breeders, they’ve only bred acouple of there dogs and i just love the look of them, they are stopping breeding after this because they feel like there are to many irresonsible owners and to many dogs that need rescueing, they will continue to show there dogs but no more breeding.

I have definately been doing my homework, before Alice i was looking for over 2 years in shelters and actual breeders, not BYBS.

I will admit tho, i didnt give Alice’s breeder much thought, as soon as i seen her, i knew i had to have her. She looked like my very first pitbull Cesar who everyone called my brother.

Thank you so much!! Kayla is just to cute, i love her build and white chest, just perfect!

I think your on the right track, she definatly has the sort of boxer nose but also looks very much like a pit bull, if your really into knowing what breed he is mixed with, try DNA testing, i’ve wanted to do that with my older dog for awhile now but just never got around to it. Best of luck, hes very handsome.

There was a big petition going for PETA to offically classify them as a slaughter house.

Did you know in one year then destroyed over 2000 ‘rescued’ cats and dogs and only adopted out less then 100.

PETA also believes that having a pet is inhumane so getting rid of all pets would be the best answer. PETA a just a huge joke, a bunch of crazies trying to get people to join them without even telling them what there really about.

Just a little information to tell your friends.

Thanks so much for all the info!
I make sure i dont reward her when she bites, and i do let out a little ‘yelp’ when she bites to hard, she automatically lets go and starts licking me and trying to cuddle up, but i make sure she knows that this isnt a behavior i want or that will continue into her adult years.

I find that if she starts trying to play and bite, i just corrected it, make her sit and calm down a bit, then i give her this bone thats shes been going crazy about for about a week or so now and she wont even try to bite for a really long time, its like i got all the bite out of her haha.

I didnt mean ‘reinforcing’, i actually ment correcting.
But so far shes been doing great so i must be doing something right (:,
    thanks again!
