Ok I understand we all love our dogs. But if you research Pit bulls. They are supposed to love kids and people and are supposed to be non aggressive towards them. Pit bulls who are lunging or growling at babies is something horrible waiting to happen and the dog should not be kept at all. NO dog of mine would be kept it in my house if I could not trust him with MY kids. That’s just setting up the dog for failure and giving the Pit bull more of a bad rap. If you’re dog is even growling at ppl at you’re house ur guest or loved one’s you have not established authority of him.

This would be very dangerous for him to do especially with dog that has lunged after the baby already.

You need to teach ur dog the “leave it command” this command will help you in everything you so with ur dog especially when it comes down to feeding. As in feeding with other dogs, I would suggest you to feed separetly or in their own crates. This is a fight waiting to happen.

You’re dog should do fine. Pit bulls are ppl dogs. They do better with one on one with humans then with other dogs. These dogs don’t need other doggy friends cuz dog aggression can occur at any time. You’re dog will do great just you and him and as long as you continue to train and socialize him. 🙂

Pit bulls aren’t large breed dogs. They’re medium size and the females can be small (40 pounds) so I’m sure she’s completely normal and that’s just her structure.

well after 6 month dogs don’t really grow anymore in height. 40 pounds is around the weight of a female pit bull. If ur dog was taking after her father’s gene’s she’d be bigger right now. Like my female took after her dad at 6 months she was already 55 pounds. And her coloring like her father’s coat will not determine that she’s like her father. That’s just color. Mine looked like the mother in coat and markings but that was it.

sadly but DNA is not 100 percent accurate and you could only get papers if her parents were registered

I used to take mine when she was a puppy only but too many people go to make friends and socialize and they’re not even paying attention to their dog’s actions. I also stopped going because we had two bad experience in the dog park with huskies. And since then my dog doesn’t like huskies, She has been attacked by them at least 4 times.

Pit bulls don’t really need playmates..but if you do want another dog and if this is your first Pit bull I’d suggest getting another type of breed. You could potentially cause problems between both dogs. So I would wait though a little longer and create more a connection with Layla train her do things with her make sure she really trust you and you know her and what she likes and doesn’t like because 2 weeks you really don’t see it all. When Pit bulls play sometimes fights break out because Pit bulls are so high strung and can take something the wrong way lol I’ve learned from experience.

Pit bulls are genetically Dog aggressive. Neutering will not cure this especially in a Pit bull. I’ve had Pit bulls who are ok with other dogs like the one I have now but dog aggression can come up at any point. I had one that was very DA and even though we treated her well that is not something that will cure it. If you’re afraid for your other dog and wouldn’t want to chance it I’d recommend crating or keeping them away from one another when you’re gone. Because with two males you never know 🙂
