Hello!  I’m not to certain on what advice to share with you regarding the crate issue~however, it certainly sounds like your doing a lot of right things already!  As for the biting~she will grow out of it. I have a 8 month old Blue Nose Pit bull (Sammie the Bull) and she use to bite everyone~and her favorite chew toy was my feet!! And those baby teeth are like razors! She doesn’t bite hardly at all anymore so thank you God for rescuing me from that! However, she is such a handful and the biting issue was just one of her bad habits…….She barks (how dare someone ring my doorbell…:), jumps on people (including my 84 yr. old Mom), chews up items around the house/yard…..She is my 6th Pit bull and by far she is the hardest to train. Good luck to you! If you have any tips on my situation please pass them my way!!

    Thank you!  1Bully Babe (Karen)

I may not be much help here~but as the old saying goes, “misery loves company” because I’m in the same boat. My 8 month old Blue Nose Pit bull thinks that when someone has the nerve to ring our doorbell she must bark loudly, run to the front door, gets aggresive (not mean~just aggresive) and holding her 70 pound frame back resulted in my pulling a ligament in my back. The only person that Sammie “the bull” will listen to & mind is my 25 yr. old Son. He commands her to get back from the door & calm down. I do the same and she becomes even more excited. Its seriously bothersome & embarrasing! I put her outside and she shows off by jumping the height of the sliding glass door, barking & letting it be known that she is there! I was once told to knee the dog when he/she jumps on anyone….but that could result in an injury as well! If you discover any tips that have helped you- please pass them onto me!!

I was hoping you would of had some replies here! My 7 month old Blue Nose Pit bull does the very same thing. I’ve gotten to the point where I ask guests to text me prior to ringing the door bell so I can put Sammie outside. Once my guests are here for awhile, she will calm down (somewhat) but continue to sniff, kiss, nudge & want to sit close by. If I find any info out I will certainly send you another comment! Good luck friend!
