Who We Are…
Our adoptable dogs for adoption are advertised through various forms of media. We find dogs that are abandoned on the streets or our door, abused in some way, or an owner fails to claim their dog when we find it. The shelter staff sees that each dog receives the very best possible care. The shelter has 11 dog runs and outside access. We also have several fenced in enclosed areas that allow the dogs to have fresh air and exercise. We feel it is very important for our dogs peace of mind. We also spend time with each dog in order to get to know them before being placed in a new home. We will help you find a dog suitable to your family and lifestyle.
Adopting a friend…
An adoption application must be completed and approved prior to adoption. Applications can be downloaded from our site and emailed to our address ( buttom of this page ) or fax to 845-561-2220 or can be completed at the shelter. Identification is required prior to viewing the animals. If you live out of state or far away we do our best to make the application process go smootly so you dont have to make multiple trips.
ALL OUR DOGS ARE TEMPERMENT TESTED PRIOR TO ADOPTION. This means that we have worked with the dogs to ensure the dogs get along with other dogs, cats and children. This is an very important aspect for a potential adoptee to know. Whether you adopt from us or another shelter, ask them if they temperment test the dogs prior to adoption.
Adoption Cost…. is $160.00 which includes:
spay/neuter
rabies vaccine
all viral vaccines
bordella vaccine
worming
heartworm and lyme testing
dog license
