Rescued Pit Wins Award

Pro Plan Doing More for Pets contest award goes to Jojo, a nine month old Pit Bull. Hit by a car and left to die several month ago, this sweet soul (who also needed therapy after being struck and left to die) now assists people in physical therapy.

Thanks to From The Heart Animal Rescue, Jojo was picked up off road and saved; who in turn, ended up being a national hero. This gentle girl comfort, aids, and works with people undergoing physical therapy at the El Paso Orthopaedic Center.

Jojo will get this special award at the national dog show in Pennsylvania, presented by Purina.

Hey all! I’m Matthias and I love Pit Bulls (as you probably can guess lol). Until a couple years ago I had Blaze next to me while writing the articles for this blog and he was my inspiration, he still is but - hopefully - from a better life 🙂

I am not a veterinarian or veterinary health care specialist, so nothing in this blog should be taken or used as a substitute for professional help. Use our content as information to have a basic understanding about Pit Bulls but always look for expert advice, specifically when treating or diagnosing your Pittie.

Hope my articles are of any help to you, your family and especially your Pit Bull. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!

This story reminds me of how I found my girl. Not quite as dramatic, she was 3 months old, and had been dumped in the middle of July. If I hadn’t taken her in, I think she might have overheatedand died.. fast forward to today, she is the best thing that could have ever happened to me! She’s an amazing animal, well socialized, loves kids, other dogs, and even cats (not just mine either, all cats), so I am thankful everyday that we found eachother! This is a sad story, but it has such a great ending, good for Jojo, good for the ppl he helps , and good for the breed.. Thanks for all u do here.. Leeann and Lillie

Wow, that is a really beautiful story. Bless you for rescuing her and then keeping, because her fate probably would have been death of overheating/starvation or death by euthanization at pound/shelter; both typical and terrible fate’s of these poor dumped pitties. You are amazing for providing your girl a second chance. Wonderful! Thank you for your comment as well 🙂
