On October 23, this coming Saturday, it is a rare day for Pit Bull lovers to celebrate- National Pit Bull Awareness Day. This day marks a time for those to love Pit Bulls, to speak out and take a reasonable stand for them; an opportunity to fight BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) and other poorly assumed stereotypes of the bully breeds.
Many events across the country are being held on that Saturday and you can be a part of it. The events are occurring for the bullies across the nation will be a chance for you to demonstrate the love you have for these dogs and help alter the misguided mindsets of the general public. You can find events happening in your area by contacting your local pit bull rescue and asking or also by searching online with a search titled, “National Pit Bull Awareness Events, 2010”
Think of your Pit Bull’s distinctive, irreplaceable smile and of the unconditional love they bestow on you. What are you waiting for? You have a heads-up, so mark those calendars! Come join in with many other fellow advocates on this celebratory day and help illustrate your love for the bully breeds.
