I owned an Staffie when I lived in Richland County in Ohio, believe it or not, my landlord told me I had to get rid of my dog or find another place to live…why…because he was coming into my house when I wasn’t home and my staffie went after him with teeth barred and growling (keep in mind, he did not bite). He was the first “so called” aggressive breed that I had ever owned…he was a protector, a faithfull friend and companion and I knew my kids were safe with him. I really wish people would learn the breed, the staffies, pitty’s any of the bully breed are truely loving and loyal dogs. My problem is the 2 legged owners. Stop abusing (fighting) your animals, they dont want to fight, they want to be loved and have a warm bed to cuddle to you at night. My pitty Izzy is just as friendly. She was abused for the first 6 months of her life, left in a house with no food, no water…when my husband finally got her, she weighed 25 pounds. I had so many people tell me she would be vicious, untrusting and a bad dog…They were wrong. My wonderful Izzy is now a healthy 60 pounds ( she won’t get any bigger due to being almost starved to death). And she is wonderful with my 3 kids and my grandchild…2 of which are 3.
