Sorry it took so long to create this first post, there was an issue with the discussions part of the groups feature which has just been fixed.
My name is Grace and I am the administrator for Michigan Dogs. I hope everyone finds this group to be useful and fun 🙂
I live in Detroit MI with my Pit / Shepherd mix Riley. He is 9 months old now and is a great dog and friend. This is my first pit type dog and it has been a wonderful experience. He loves going for car rides, walks and to the dog park. I’m amazed at how smart he is! I really love this dog 🙂

I’m not from Grosse Ile so I don’t know about any groups or clubs, but I know Grosse Ile has a dog park. Dog parks are good places for dogs and dog owners to get together and socialize. I love my local dog park 🙂 I think that it would be especially beneficial considering your dog is still a pup! It’s a good place for her to learn to get along will with other dogs and other people. At the park, you can learn alot about dog related things in your area and you might be able to get info on groups or clubs in your area. If you do a google search for “Grosse Ile dog park” you can get a pdf with an application and a list of rules for the park. Hope this helps :]
