Our little pitty, Autumn, was hit by a pickup and killed on Thursday. My niece and her friend went for a walk while I was asleep (I work nights) and didn’t take her leash, they just let her walk with them and Autumn just jumped out in front of the truck. The driver didn’t even stop the see if the girls were o.k. Bri said the truck never slowed down. What if he had hit one of the girls? Would he have stopped then? What about the fact that he killed the dog in front of them?  He left those girls crying on the side of the road not knowing what to do. Do people not have decency anymore?

Aw.  That’s horrible!!  My condolences to you and your family!!  It’s always hard to loose a family member, but loosing a life long friend in such a heartless way is just tragic.  My heart goes out to your girls.

I’m very sorry this happened to you family. Now she will watch you from above.I believe they never leave us. when I had to put my girl down due to cancer it broke my heart. After a while I started to look on the shelte pages to see what was out there that needed a home.As I sat there  looking at the dog with tears in my eyes, a familiar smell fille the area. It was the smell of my jesse.I know most will say I’m nuts, maybe a little, but I did not imagine the smell. So, your little one will be whatching over you. Whenever you are ready to give another dog a chance go to the pit bull rescue. Some of these dog never find a home.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  Did the girls get a description of the truck or the driver?  I believe it would be a good idea to file a complaint of wreckless driving with your local law enforcement agency.  I’m sorry the girls had to see that too.  Sending you my kind regards . . .
