I have an almost 5 year old precious, smart, loving male pit named Sarge. He was brought into a multiple dog household, so he was socialized from day 1, and he was and still is, very people friendly. Recently, he’s become the “only dog”, & I think he might be depressed and bored. He wont play for very long, we excercise but it doesn’t seem to do much for him. I would get him a playmate, and I’ve thought about it a lot…problem is, he’s suddenly dog aggressive. He’s never acted aggressively towards other dogs until he became packless, I guess. But I’m not willing to see what would happen if I brought another dog into the house before figuring out what is going on with him. On top of all that, he’s been house trained since week 1 and now all of a sudden, he’s not. I’m trying everything I can to make him happy but I don’t know what to do, & it’s breaking my heart. Has anyone dealt with anything similiar to this? What worked for you?
