Pit Puppy Issues-Needs Help Understanding

I am new to this site but I needed  a place where I could get some answers or advice!

We have a male pit bull that is 2 years old.  We got him a playmate and she is almost 6 months old.  They have gotten along like brother and sister from day one!!  Wherever Diesel is, Zoey is right there!!! 

This morning, out of the blue, Zoey was sitting next to me outside and started to growl at Diesel and when I told her to stop her growling, she lost it and went after Diesel!  Diesel, thank goodness, tried to get away from her instead of attacking back.  They acted really “distant” from each other for most of the morning, but seem to be back to normal a few hours after this happened. 

Any ideas as to why she did this??  I am just concerned that one may hurt the other and they are both my babies and it would kill me to have anything happen to either one!!!
