We just got our 10 week old male whom is half house broken, the problem we are having is that he pees right outside the door when we take him out, however no matter how long his walk is that is the only time he will pee until we return to the house and then the accidents begin….any suggestions oh why this is happening or how we can resolve this problem? We are his 3rd family in his short life and he was abused by his other two families.
Not sure if this will help but I was Reece’s 3rd and final family as well and he was 4 months when we got him. I found that no amount of walking would stop the accidents and soon discovered that Reece associated walking with play time. As soon as I started leasing him in the backyard he began to change his behavior and learned that outside was potty time. It’s quite possible your pup doesn’t realize that walking = potty time.
