ParticipantAs for the pit bulls, [Georgia] Lynn said, “they are not adoptable.”
As for the pit bulls, [Georgia] Lynn said, “they are not adoptable.”Dogs that have been used for fighting usually have to be euthanized, said Debra Boswell, director of the Jackson-based Mississippi Animal Rescue League.
“They’re like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.”
Haven’t we learned anything from the Vick dogs? Have they been evaluated as individuals by professionals?

ParticipantI think these people do not take the time to evaluate the dogs, but i can bet a million dollars money is the issue… the only thing that saved Vicks dogs was Vicks money… If they had not had been his fighting dogs, they would have been put to sleep….If someone donated enough money right now to have each individual dog evaluated, they probobly could be saved….Maybe the shelter can find a no kill instead of putting them down… this makes me sick, because both of my pitbulls come from terrible backgrounds and they are both wonderful pets and not aggressive….Its all in the owners…even owners of abused dogs, if you know what they have been through you can pretty much predict your dogs behavior.. I know I can!!!! Mine came from backrounds just as horrific as Vicks dogs… ALL THIS IS IS A NO FUNDING ISSUE AND ITS EASIER AND CHEAPER TO PUT THEM TO SLEEP….SAD BUT REALITY… IN ALL STATES …

ParticipantThis is soo sad. They can to be adopted! Even fighting dogs dont tend to be human aggressive, they usually just dont like animals. This makes me want to cry. This lady should be just as ashamed of herself as the people that fought these poor dogs….you help living things in need, you give them the love they didnt get before, you dont give them a death sentance. Especially when they are the victims. Are we going to start executing rape and assault victims next? Those poor dogs will die knowing nothing but cruelty and that is just soo sad. If only people like us ran the rescues, hopefully some day we will. Animal rescue’s should be ran by people that actually give a damn about animals. And if those dogs get put down then the abusers should too. since when do we kill victims furry or not and let the bad guys go free with a slap on the wrist? What kind of society are we?

ParticipantI have read this alot of times poor pups. My daughter for awhile unoffical was rescueing pitts from people that was using them for fighting ect. Then her daughter was born after having major heart surgey the child came home. The last pitt she rescued she kept. Well the pitt tried unsuccefully to wake my daughter the fourth try he bit her to the point she needed stitches. But first she went to her daughters room the baby was blue thank god that dangerous pitt was there if not the baby would have died. In the end that was the final act of kindness that was because where he was a rescued fighting dog the state put him down why all because they said he bit why was never taken into consideration. Burracey sucks morg morg’s mom rene
