February 16, 2011 at 11:13 pm #16767RichnAnnaParticipantWelcome to you and Eddy……….and congrats on your new little boy.
February 16, 2011 at 11:17 pm #16768RichnAnnaParticipantOMG…which humane society did u adopt him from? I dropped 2 pits borhter and siser of my baby to the potsdam ny one and they look like yours?
February 17, 2011 at 12:19 am #16771cjbtboneParticipantNO WAY! Yes I got him at the Potsdam Humane Society!!!!!!!!!
February 17, 2011 at 12:16 pm #16776RichnAnnaParticipantOMG How cool is that I’m so very happy he got a great home. Congratulations. Do you know if his sister was adopted too.? So happy for you both. Check out Amber’s pic she’s the last one I took from this guy and kept her for myself. Love her to pieces.
February 17, 2011 at 2:05 pm #16777cjbtboneParticipantYes Eddy is doing great – and yes his sister was adopted as well! Amber is adorable! They definitely all look alike! So, how did you end up finding them? I used to volunteer at the Potsdam Humane Society when I was a college student at Potsdam (I’m now teaching in Champlain) and they said you only got two dogs from this guy. I’m assuming you got 3 and kept one? Are they purebred? I’m interested in their history!
February 17, 2011 at 8:16 pm #16783RichnAnnaParticipantTheir were only 2 then we found out there was a third so I kept her. They r pure rednose pitbulls. healthy as far as I know. I have no history only that they need love. So happy for you and that they r both out of the shelter and in good homes.
February 17, 2011 at 11:16 pm #16788cjbtboneParticipantoh ok – so you went and got amber after? thats good! people are sick the way they think they can breed dogs and then drown the puppies if they cant make money off of them. it’s disgusting. did you see the parents?
February 18, 2011 at 12:02 am #16789RichnAnnaParticipantNo, I saw this guy kicking his dog who was about 6mths old and he was holding a baby pitt and that’s when I went over there (on the street) and spoke with him. He is not a friend and I never have seen him after that. I was trying to keep him from abusing his dog, the next day he was carrying the 6 mth old by the collar and the dog was off the ground. Your right people like that should not have pets. When I found out he had a third dog I couldn’t take her to the shelter too so I kept her. Never regretting it. I share your desire to know more but I’m as clueless as you. She’s made a great member of the family, I have 2 other dogs beside her and things r great.
February 18, 2011 at 12:33 am #16790cjbtboneParticipantoh, so on top of wanting to kill them, he was abusing them too? how ridiculous is that?!? good for you for going up to him on the street! did he just hand over the two pups right there?
February 18, 2011 at 2:26 am #16794i luv my pitbullParticipantI admire your courage. Animal abuse is directly linked to violence against people. Shame how much violence is ignored because the victim is an animal.
February 20, 2011 at 1:05 pm #16803RichnAnnaParticipanttotally agree I love my pit, people r crazy.
February 20, 2011 at 2:03 pm #16804i luv my pitbullParticipantAbraham Lincoln once referred to the “Better angels of our nature”. I’ve seen glimpses of this, but the world needs more.
February 21, 2011 at 5:06 pm #16807blueyParticipantAww cute puppy. glad you could give him a home. I agree about the abuse and people are crazy. My dog has more personality than a lot of people I’ve known and he’s better company lol
