I just adopted my first pit two weeks ago. He’s about 9 weeks old now and the smartest dog I’ve ever seen (and the most loving). He’s had two potty accidents in the last four days, which basically blows my mind. We haven’t had any behavior problems yet, except that he gets a little aggressive with our other dog (an 8 year old Sherpherd mix) when it comes to food. Someone suggested that I simply never feed them around each other, which I’ll do if there are no better solutions. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. Thanks. And thanks for this forum in general. It’s really helpful.
Your puppy is about the same age as my son’s dog, Maggie. We have 3 older dogs and haven’t had any problems with feeding. Maggie is eating a different food but sometimes eats the “big dog” food. They don’t seem to mind. The only reall issue we have had is that Maggie wants to play and play and play. She has been fussed at more than once.
