former bait dog

I have a former bait dog that is wonderful with other dogs unless they show dominance.At that point he goes into full meltdown mode.shakes,tail between legs and tries to hide.It can be a lil poodle that scares him too,doesn’t mattter the dog’s size.I feel so bad he gets so excited seing other dogs,but i never know what is going to trigger him.Any suggestions on helping my boy work through his fears?

maybe try letting him be with dogs that are submissive and very calm and not hyper and he might not feel so threaten by them.
