    Hi, I’m Bobbie.

Last week my son came home with a Pit Bull puppy.  She was in the street and he stopped to get her out.   The people in the neighborhood said that they didn’t know if she belonged to anyone but she was always in the street.  After some more checking she came home with him.  Maggie had her first check up and series 1 of her puppy shots.  The vet says she is about 9 weeks old and in good health.

I didn’t know that we were ready for another dog.  We had lost our 16 year old matriarch and the greif was still very real. When the vet told us how old Maggie is I checked the date. Counting back 9 weeks means she was born about the time Rajah died. My mother said she knew Rajah had a sense of humor, but a pit bull?

Our household consists of my mother, my 23 year old son, a Mini-Pin who is 13, a 5 year old cocker spaniel, a 2.5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog mix.  All of our dogs are rescues. During my life we have had Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Poodles, German Sheperds and everything between.  This is our first pit.

Are there any surprises?  Anything I should be aware of?  I do believe that most dogs who are out of control have owners that are too.

    Thanks,

    Bobbie
