Walking/Running

When we got our puppy I planned on him being my running buddy. I knew I wanted a rescue dog, but didn't care what breed as long as it was a big dog with enough energy for five mile runs. I didn't even know I had a pitt bull until everyone told me that he looked just like one when I brought him home.

Afraid of cars when walking

I have a 4 mo old and when we are walking she will sit or lay down at the edge of the road to my side every time she sees a car getting close. She isn't afraid of cars she loves riding in the car and will even chase my fiance to the endf of the driveway until I tell her to stop and she will come back but i cannot get her to keep walking when a car is passing. I know it is kind of a good thing she is cautious but how can I get her to still be catious but keep walking?

First time pit owner looking for advice PLEASE!!!

She cries every time she goes in her crate no matter how tired she is. I've tried making it a warm, safe, place where she can have her own space in the house. I've tried everything for her to like her crate but she cries for hours. Even the tricks that worked for my two german shepherds haven't worked on this little one. Any advice? Also, I know she's a puppy but all she wants to do is bite. I don't know what to do to make her stop. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Aggressive, biting, growling, barking

Okay so I got this pup she's around 15 weeks or so old, she didn't come from the greatest situation, I know her father is aggressive, not sure about her mom. She growls if she feels scared or something, growls in the crate, bites my hands, if I try to grab her collar if she chews on the rug or something she goes to bite my hand. I'm at a loss here. I've never owned a puppy before let alone a pit puppy. I don't know what else to do. My dad isn't going to stand for all this and my mom doesn't know what to do either. Any ideas on what could help?

We have a 6 year old pit named Layla who has a issue with people she doesnt  know and has recently bit two people! I have 4 kids and she is fine with them. I not sure what steps to take to protect my family, yet keep her part of our family.  I am also afraid if we give her away she could get in the wrong hands!

Training ideas?

So I have completely spoiled my puppy. He knows the basic tricks. Sit, lay, and stay(More or less). But how do I get him to stop jumping on people. He is a very aggressive player and scares my visitors when he jumps up to lick them in the face. He never listened to me when I say stop or come here...he just runs around me.

Leash pulling

Hi everyone, I'm so glad I found this site! I have a 2 1/2 year old, loving, loyal, goofy pit named Rocky. He's been a dream to train compared to the springers I used to have, except that at the beginning of walks, he pulls like crazy for the first 15 minutes. I've tried everything Cesar Millan recommends, I've tried everything recommended in Pit Bulls for Dummies, I tried all the tips in the Puppy Whisperer book when he was a puppy, I've tried friends' suggestions, but no dice. He tends to pull less with a harness, but not much less. He's a very calm dog except the first part of a walk.

Hey y'all

I'm new to this site and I am a new pit/boxer cross mommy. He is 12-16 weeks and we adopted him from our local SPCA. He is the best dog .. loving.. not mouthy.. walks well on his leash.. loves my kids (older kids 12,10 and 8) and our two cats..except he does take issue with one who swiped his nose. >.< They are never left alone together. However, he seems to be scared of a lot of things and we are having problems getting him to go outside to do his business. I was told he might be cold (I imagine so..it's February!) so I bought him a coat...
